EKIVIL, registered charity number 1179392, trading as Greek Library of London, is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk who use our library or attend our events.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. We work to provide a safe, welcoming and respectful space, and we take every concern seriously. Any concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child, young person or adult at risk is responded to promptly and reported to the appropriate authorities where needed, in line with our Safeguarding Policy.
Our commitments
- Children using the library are always accompanied by a parent, carer or a named event leader.
- Staff, volunteers and trustees receive safeguarding awareness training, and relevant roles are subject to appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
- All staff and volunteers follow our procedures for recognising and reporting concerns.
How to report a concern
