Join the Library — Greek Library of London

What membership gives you

The Greek Library of London (GLL) is open to everyone. An account is free and lets you browse the catalogue, reserve titles and book a visit; membership adds borrowing.

Discounts on selected GLL events

What it costs

Standard membership aged 25 and over £35 / year

Youth membership under 25 £20 / year

Joining takes three steps: your details, your password, then choosing a membership plan. It takes about two minutes, and nothing is charged until the last step.

You will need your name, an email address and your date of birth, the last only so we can check whether you qualify for the reduced youth rate.

Payment is handled by Stripe, and the library never sees your card details.

Already a member of the library?

If you already pay for your membership by subscription, register here using the same email address you pay with. Your membership will be linked to your new account automatically and you will not be charged again.

Our membership prices changed on 08 Sep 2026. This does not change the membership you are paying for now. It continues to its expiry date exactly as before. The new price applies only when you renew after that date.

Membership terms

Membership runs for one year from the day you pay and renews annually until you cancel. Borrowed books must be returned by their due date; overdue loans accrue a small daily fine, capped by your membership type. Library material stays the property of the Greek Library of London and must be returned in the condition it was lent.

We use your details to run your membership, contact you about your loans, and, only if you ask for it, send you our newsletter. You can change your preferences or ask us to delete your account at any time.

I have read and accept the membership terms and the way my data will be used. I agree to the Privacy Notice and Terms & Conditions.
